New Fish Beads

I've got a few new fish beads to get listed in my etsy shop. I like the shape of the orange, no make that tangerine, one.

My BirthBones dog collar charms will soon be available on a Dutch luxury pet supplies website. How cool is that?

Prize Chicken

Here's a pic of Betty W.'s prize. It's in the mail, Betty! :-)

I've got some cat collar charms to show you next posting. And i'm working on some nice twisty bones as a special request. And working on a small sock monkey for my bf (babyfriend). And trying to assemble a tin flower/glass bead combo thingy for mom's bday (pretty sure she doesn't read my blog so no surprise ruined). But at the moment, i'm running out the door and leaving the house in a mess ... ! When will they invent a self-cleaning house?

Very Special Glass Fish Beads

VanOliveLampwork, etsy seller, makes the most ingenious lampwork fish I've seen. These are wonderfully unique, and large, and organic. It is fun to speculate as to how they were made, since the artist says they are made "off mandrel". They are so tactile looking, with all the impressed eyes, and skeletons, scales/dots, and fins. And the fin placements... brilliant little tufts of fin!

Tomorrow, another seamstress of fantastic little pet monsters.

Cheers for Monkeys

I am quite fond of monkeys. I'm making "team" monkey zipper pulls to order, and a listing for this offer will be up on my etsy shop soon. Monkey heads with caps in team colors, or their very heads could be in team colors. Here's a few. I think the blue and grey cap and blue and white cap could be Toronto Blue Jays. Sock monkeys just look great in a fez, so that's the default hat on a sock monkey, unless it's a sporty sock monkey. Hopefully your team monkey never needs a rally cap!

Precious Turtle Beads

I'm working on some really cute beads lately. My neighbour keeps pet turtles and asked if I could make turtle beads for her daughter. It seems that I could. This is one of the first ones I made, and it is terribly precious. They've gotten a little bit bigger since this one, but they are still sweet as can be. I realized that I need to consider how folks might use these turtle beads in jewelry, and so future turtle beads will be tail-weighted a bit so that they will hang predictably as a pendant. The bead shown here would be lovely as a one-of-a-kind charm in a girly bracelet or an earring. Look for these cute beads to enter my etsy shop in the next few days.
